The “wilted” version of you was a survivor. She did what she had to do to get through the winter. She deserves your gratitude, but she no longer needs to lead the way.
The sun is coming up. The soil is rich. And you are being Called to Bloom.
Ready to take the next step? If you are tired of navigating this transition alone, let’s walk together. My coaching is designed to help you move through the pain and into the purposeful life God has for you.

2. The Weight of ‘What’s Next?’: How to Overcome Paralysis When You’re Starting Over
When you are in the middle of a major life transition, the smallest questions can feel like mountains.
- How do I fix my budget this month?
- How do I explain this season to my friends at church?
- How do I even begin to heal my heart when I’m just trying to survive the day?
If you feel stuck like you are standing at a crossroads but your legs are too heavy to move you aren’t lazy. You are experiencing Decision Fatigue. When a woman is navigating a profound struggle, her “mental bandwidth” is stretched to the breaking point. Every choice feels high-stakes, and the fear of making another “mistake” can lead to total paralysis. Today, I want to show you how to quiet the noise and find the clarity to take just one step.

Why the Struggle Feels So Heavy
In my coaching practice, I often see women who are frustrated with themselves. They say, “I used to be so organized/strong/capable. Why can’t I just get it together?”
The truth is, your brain is currently prioritizing survival over strategy. When you have experienced emotional or spiritual pain, your nervous system stays on high alert. This “hyper-vigilance” consumes the energy you would normally use for planning your future. You aren’t losing edge; you are simply out of fuel.
1. The Myth of the “Grand Plan”
One of the biggest traps we fall into when starting over is thinking we need to have the next five years mapped out before we can take the first step.
In a faith-centered life, we are rarely given the whole map. Instead, we are given a “lamp unto our feet.” A lamp only shows you the very next step. If you are waiting for a floodlight to show you the whole path, you will stay stuck in the dark.
The Coaching Shift: Stop asking “What is my 5-year plan?” and start asking “What is the most faithful thing I can do in the next 15 minutes?”
2. Silence the “Financial Noise”
Financial struggle carries a unique type of shame that keeps our minds spinning. We replay past choices or obsess over future bills. This “noise” makes it impossible to hear the “still, small voice” of guidance.
To reclaim your clarity, you must separate your worth from your wallet. You are a daughter of the King, and your value is not a fluctuating currency. When you anchor your identity in that spiritual truth, the financial “noise” begins to lose its power to paralyze you.
3. The Power of “Decision Fasting”
If you are overwhelmed, you need to reduce the number of choices you make in a day. This is what I call “Decision Fasting.”
- Automate what you can: Eat the same breakfast, wear a simple “uniform,” and set your bills to autopay if possible.
- Set a “Worry Window”: Give yourself 10 minutes a day to feel the weight of the struggle. When the time is up, intentionally “close the file” and give it to God.
- Say ‘No’ to the Good to say ‘Yes’ to the Best: This isn’t the season to volunteer for every committee. It’s the season to protect your peace so you can bloom.
4. Moving from Paralysis to Peace
Healing isn’t a race; it’s a rhythm. If you try to sprint through your restoration, you will burn out before you reach the garden. Peace comes when you realize that God is not in a hurry, even if you are.
The “struggle” may have stripped you of your old life, but it has also stripped away the distractions that kept you from your true purpose. This quiet, still place—though uncomfortable, is where the deepest roots are formed.
Reflection: Your Next Small Step
Instead of looking at the mountain, look at your feet.
- What is one emotional burden you can hand over in prayer right now?
- What is one financial task you’ve been avoiding that you can complete in 10 minutes?
- What is one spiritual truth you can write on a sticky note to remind you who you are today?
